\nAmorolfine, a morpholine derivative, is the first of a new class of\u00a0antifungal drugs.<\/span>

\nPharmacology and mechanism of action of the drug<\/strong><\/span>
\nThe mechanism of action is inhibition of ergosterol biosynthesis in the fungal cell membrane. Alteration in the membrane sterol content leads to changes in membrane permeability and disruption of key fungal metabolic processes.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>Precautions and warnings<\/span><\/a>
[vc_column_text css=””]Amorolfine 5% Medicated nail lacquer\u00a0should not be applied on the skin around the nail. Avoid contact of the lacquer with eyes, ears and mucous membranes. Patients with underlying conditions predisposing to fungal nail infections should be referred to a doctor.<\/span>
\nUse in <\/strong>Pregnancy<\/strong>:<\/span>
\nUse with caution. The systemic absorption of topical amorolfine is very low and therefore the risk is negligible.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><\/div>Storage<\/span><\/a>
